EO 14352: Saving TikTok While Protecting National Security
This order establishes a regulatory framework allowing the social media platform TikTok to continue U.S. operations under strict national security safeguards. It revokes the memorandum of July 24, 2024, and updates prior directives concerning foreign technology and data privacy (EOs 14166, 14258, 14310, and 14350). The order requires the platform’s U.S. operations to comply with government-approved data protection standards, including localization of American user data, third-party auditing, and transparency obligations.
