Executive Orders
EO 14322 Saving College Sports
Preserves and strengthens the uniquely American institution of collegiate athletics amid growing legal and financial pressures. The order directs federal agencies to protect and expand scholarship opportunities in women’s and non-revenue sports, limit third-party pay-for-play inducements, and uphold fairness across college athletic programs. It affirms that college sports are not professional sports and seeks to stabilize the system through federal guidance, enforcement, and coordination with Congress and states. The order also directs action to safeguard the development of U.S. Olympic athletes and ensure student-athletes retain their educational mission.
EO 14321 Ending Crime and Disorder on America’s Streets
Launches a federal crackdown on urban crime, vagrancy, and homelessness by restoring civil commitment for individuals with serious mental illness or addiction who cannot care for themselves. Directs agencies to support local law enforcement, prioritize treatment over street living, and redirect funding away from “housing first” and “harm reduction” programs. Increases accountability in federal homelessness aid and protects public safety by removing legal barriers to institutional care and encampment cleanup.

US Congress
H.R.1815 VA Home Loan Program Reform Act
Introduced by Rep. Derrick Van Orden (R-WI), this law reforms the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) home loan program by authorizing new foreclosure prevention tools and establishing a five-year Partial Claim Program. It allows the VA to pay lenders on a veteran’s behalf to avoid foreclosure, provided the VA secures an interest in the property. The bill also directs the VA to implement formal loss mitigation procedures before permitting any loan modification. Additionally, the VA may now cover a portion of the debt on defaulted home loans, with veterans remaining liable for losses. The law also mandates a report to Congress on ensuring veterans receive fair access to real estate representation when using the VA loan program.
